ABOUT ME
My passion for music began in the 90s, packed into a two-tone blue 1979 GMC Suburban. While living in Quebec, our family road trips took us across Ontario, the Maritimes, and the US East Coast. The soundtrack for those long hours wasn't a car stereo, but a battery-operated boombox, and we packed along a storage box full of cassette tapes.
That boombox is how I discovered the foundations: The Jacksons, Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, Boney M., and more.
As I grew, my musical education continued. My older brother and sister, while at university, introduced me to the sounds they were discovering—90s hip-hop, neo-soul, zouk, and soukous. Those genres hold a special place in my heart to this day.
From that wide range of influences, I learned music's true magic: it captures the full spectrum of our emotions and transports us to our most vibrant memories. It’s the song playing when you’re lost in a slow dance, cheek to cheek. It’s the anthem that unites a crowd. And it’s that one undeniable jam that makes you hit the dance floor.
