ANSWERS TO COMMON DJ SERVICE
QUESTIONS

General FAQS:

• What types of events do you DJ?
  I perform at private events, fundraisers, weddings, parties, to name a few. I’m flexible with the kind of event to make your function unique.

• How far in advance should I book you?
  You should book at least four months in advance. For events such as weddings and anniversaries, I require four to six months' notice.

• What areas do you serve?
  I serve the Greater Edmonton Area. That includes Sherwood Park, Leduc, Beaumont, St. Albert, Spruce Grove, and Fort Saskatchewan.

• Do you have an agreement?
  Yes. We sign an agreement when you hire me to perform at your event.

• Do you offer consultations before the event?
  Yes. I offer consultation to understand you, your story and your event. This way, we can plan the type of music that will be suitable.

• How long have you been a DJ?
  I began to DJ in April 2024. I am licensed with the Canadian Professional Disc Jockey Association since December of the same year.

Music and Performance:

• What kind of music do you play?
  My specialty includes soul, funk, house, and afro-house. I’m exploring different genres as I’m expanding my skills.

• Can we provide a do-not-play list?
  Yes. Requesting that ahead of time prevents any awkwardness.

• Can we request specific songs or genres?
  Yes.

• Do you take song requests during the event?
  Yes.

• Can you provide a sample mix or video of a past performance?
  My mixes are available on YouTube-https://www.youtube.com/@soulinauthenticity-and in my portfolio.

Pricing and Packages:

• What is the pricing structure, and what is included in each package?
  The charge depends on each event. It includes the number of hours worked and the cost of equipment. After the consultation, I’ll provide you with a quote.

• Do you require a deposit?
  The required deposit is 50% of the total amount due.
